Chinese Chemical Giants Huayi, CNCEC Forge Deeper Ties to Boost High-Quality Growth
Senior executives from Huayi Group and China Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CNCEC) have convened to discuss further deepening their strategic partnership and advancing high-quality development.
The meeting in Shanghai saw Gu Lili, Party Secretary and Chairman of Huayi Group, receive a delegation led by Mo Dingge, her counterpart at CNCEC. In-depth discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in chemical machinery equipment, engineering services, and industrial chain synergy.
Qian Zhigang, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Huayi Group, and Nie Ningxin, Assistant General Manager of CNCEC, were also in attendance.
Both parties reviewed the journey and phased achievements since initiating their cooperative restructuring in 2021. They noted that progress from establishing the cooperative framework to operating joint ventures, and from integrating technical resources to advancing project implementation, had laid a solid foundation for deeper collaboration. This partnership is seen as a practical model for central-local coordination within China's chemical industry.
Mo Dingge expressed strong approval for the progress made by the jointly established Equipment Technology Company and Engineering Technology Company. He thanked Huayi Group for its long-standing support and acknowledged its remarkable results in recent years. He highlighted Huayi's focus on technological innovation, industrial structure optimisation, management enhancement, and digital empowerment.
Mo Dingge specifically pointed to the resilience of Huayi's industrial chain and the distinct advantages of the Huayi Qinzhou Integrated Chemical New Materials Base, citing its long-term planning and integrated synergies. He stated that CNCEC and Huayi Group have cultivated highly aligned development philosophies and a solid foundation of trust through long-term collaboration. He identified broad prospects in engineering services and equipment manufacturing, urging both sides to enhance support for their joint ventures to drive business expansion and strengthening.
Gu Lili welcomed the CNCEC delegation and expressed gratitude for the group's consistent support. She outlined Huayi Group's strategic planning for the 15th Five-Year Plan period and provided an update on the construction and operation of the Huayi Qinzhou Integrated Base.
Gu Lili emphasised that Huayi's achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period were inseparable from CNCEC's robust support in critical areas such as engineering technology and project execution. Beyond shared development philosophies, she noted excellent synergies in business collaboration, evidenced by the steady growth of the joint venture.
Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan, Gu Lili stated that Huayi Group will focus on emerging businesses in high-end materials and fine chemicals. Through measures to supplement, extend, and strengthen the industrial chain, it aims to enhance its resilience and core competitiveness. She expressed hope that both parties would leverage technological innovation and their respective strengths to deepen cooperation, enhance the joint venture's competitiveness, and establish a model for in-depth central-local enterprise collaboration.
Qian Zhigang provided a detailed overview of Huayi Group's overall operational development this year and during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, along with strategic plans for emerging industries. He noted that the long-standing cooperative relationship has laid a solid foundation for further synergy and expressed confidence in broad prospects for future collaboration in engineering construction and operations maintenance.
He looked forward to both sides continuing to leverage their strengths to jointly strengthen the joint venture's core business, particularly in forming a more competitive cooperative brand in the engineering services sector, realising the development vision of 'growing together and strengthening together'.
