Exports to China were 791,000 euros, down 32.8% year-on-year, ranking 32nd among Kosovo's export markets, and accounting for 0.1% of total exports. Imports from China were 410 million euros, a 31.1% increase year-on-year, making China the third-largest source of imports, accounting for 10.1% of total imports. Kosovo's trade deficit with China was 409 million euros, up 31.4% year-on-year, equivalent to about 401 million US dollars.
Kosovo, being landlocked, relies on the port of Durres in Albania for sea transportation. Goods are cleared by local agents and transported to Kosovo by land. Albania imposes a 10% tariff on imported agricultural products, along with seasonal taxes, and a 2% tariff on transportation vehicles and machinery.
