China's PVC suspension resin trade saw strong growth in July, according to the latest data from China Customs.
* Imports: China imported 24,000 tons of PVC resin in July, rising 2.1% MoM and 47.0% YoY.
* Exports: Outbound shipments reached 331,000 tons, surging 26.2% MoM and 112.8% YoY.
January–July 2025 Totals - PVC Resin:
* Imports totaled 149,000 tons, up 6.0% YoY.
* Exports climbed to 2.291 million tons, an increase of 56.9% YoY.
Trade Breakdown – PVC Resin July 2025:
* Imports were mainly sourced from the United States (73.6%), Japan (14.7%), and Taiwan, China (8.7%).
* Exports were primarily shipped to India (34.9%), Vietnam (7.7%), and Uzbekistan (6.3%).
Trade Breakdown – PVC Resin Jan–Jul 2025:
* Imports came predominantly from the United States (94,000 tons, 63.0%), Japan (28,000 tons, 19.0%), and Taiwan, China (21,000 tons, 14.2%).
* Exports were led by India (940,000 tons, 41.0%), followed by Vietnam (146,000 tons, 6.4%) and the United Arab Emirates (88,000 tons, 3.8%).
The robust export performance highlights India's dominant role as the top buyer of Chinese PVC resin, while the U.S. remains the leading source of imports.
