The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a leading international business district dedicated to driving global trade through Dubai, has announced two major strategic partnerships with the Beijing Digital Economy Enterprises Overseas Innovation Service Base ("Beijing Overseas Base") and the Beijing Chaoyang District Council for the Promotion of Trade ("Chaoyang Trade Council").
Under the agreements, DMCC will collaborate with the Beijing Overseas Base and Chaoyang Trade Council in trade investment, investment facilitation, and strategic business matchmaking, helping enterprises connect with key government and private sector stakeholders in both Dubai and Beijing. The partnerships will see joint business seminars, investment roadshows, and networking events to encourage cross-border collaboration while promoting digital trade and blockchain technology, ensuring seamless and secure international transactions. Businesses from both regions will gain access to new investment opportunities, expanded market potential, and more efficient business setup solutions provided by DMCC, the Beijing Overseas Base, and the Chaoyang Trade Council.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, stated:
"With nearly 1,000 Chinese companies now based in DMCC, we have solidified our position as the natural gateway for Chinese businesses entering Dubai. Year after year, our growing Chinese business community highlights the lasting appeal of our district—an appeal built on our tailor-made services, world-class office spaces, and ecosystems dedicated to physical commodities, AI, and next-generation technologies such as Web3. These two landmark agreements with the Beijing Overseas Base and the Chaoyang Trade Council represent another significant step forward in deepening commercial ties, fostering new growth drivers, and creating business opportunities—ensuring that DMCC remains the preferred partner for Chinese enterprises in the region."
In partnership with Yingtian International, DMCC hosted roadshows in Beijing and Shenzhen, two of China's economic powerhouses, bringing together senior business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors to explore opportunities for expansion into Dubai and beyond. These events showcased DMCC's diverse value proposition and its ability to offer an ideal business environment for Chinese enterprises seeking to enhance their international presence. Currently, over 950 Chinese companies operate within DMCC, accounting for more than 15% of the approximately 6,000 Chinese businesses active in the UAE.
The "Made for Trade" roadshow series plays a vital role in positioning Dubai as a premier global business destination while supporting DMCC's continued growth. DMCC continues to attract record numbers of new businesses, with 15% of Dubai's foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows channeled through DMCC, further reinforcing its role as a key economic driver of the emirate.
