In March 2025, China's total imports of benzyl alcohol amounted to USD 244,124, reflecting a sharp year-on-year decline of 62.63%, despite a significant month-on-month rebound of 102.06%.
Import volumes stood at 104,312 kilograms, down 69.23% compared to the same period last year. However, the 437.72% month-on-month surge points to a strong recovery in short-term demand. The imports were sourced from six trading partner countries, suggesting a moderately diversified supply structure.
Export Performance: Value Dips Slightly, Volume Remains Strong
China's total exports of benzyl alcohol reached USD 6,979,467 in March 2025, marking a year-on-year decline of 8.93%, while registering a 21.50% increase from the previous month.
Export volumes totaled 4,738,896 kilograms, showing a 7.98% increase year-on-year and a 22.76% month-on-month rise. This growth in quantity, despite a dip in total export value, indicates robust overseas demand and potential downward pricing trends. China exported benzyl alcohol to 48 trading partner countries, highlighting its broad global market coverage.
