The 15th China International Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition (CIES) is set to take place from March 23-26, 2025, at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. Organized by the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association and co-hosted by the Energy Storage Application Subcommittee, China Energy Storage Network, and Digital Energy Storage Network, the event is supported by over 800 organizations.
With a theme of “Green, Smart, Integrated, Innovative,” CIES 2025 will feature high-level dialogues and specialized forums that explore sustainable development policies, capital markets, global markets, cost management, intelligent system integration, supply chain systems, business models, technical standards, application cases, and innovative solutions. The goal is to advance comprehensive upgrades and in-depth growth of the energy storage sector.
The 2025 CIES will host 23 specialized sessions covering various topics, including the conference’s opening ceremony, expert reports, smart distribution networks, new power systems, energy storage integration, international energy storage developments, ancillary services, spot trading and capacity markets, green microgrids, national energy storage standards, and new product releases. The sessions will provide participants with an extensive and multifaceted information-sharing platform.
Notably, the event will also unveil several industry reports, including the *2025 China New Energy Storage Industry Development White Paper and TOP 100 List, *2025 China Industrial Park Microgrid Development White Paper*, *2025 China New Energy Storage Industry Development Index White Paper*, *2025 Energy Storage Project Bidding and Price Analysis Report*, and *2025 Typical Applications and Development Trends Analysis Report*. Over 80,000 guests and representatives from more than 1,000 companies, including government agencies, research institutions, grid operators, power generation groups, EPC contractors, system integrators, energy service providers, project developers, investment institutions, and international buyers, are expected to attend.
Since its inception in 2011, CIES has maintained a high-end, quality-focused, and international approach, fostering more than 500 billion RMB in domestic and international supply chain and channel collaborations. It has supported regional investment and project cooperation worth over 100 billion RMB and facilitated capital partnerships exceeding 300 billion RMB.
This year’s expo will feature the "6+1+1" exhibit layout, showcasing products and brand displays from energy storage system integrators, power generation groups, electrical equipment, temperature control equipment, control systems, energy storage batteries, testing and certification bodies, and fire and safety equipment.
In addition to exhibiting cutting-edge technology and practices, the 2025 CIES will encourage government-enterprise dialogue, explore pathways for high-quality development, and accelerate connections between specialized technology, capital, and services. It serves as a critical platform for expanding domestic and global markets, empowering Chinese energy storage brands to grow internationally and supporting the vision of a green, efficient, flexible, intelligent, and sustainable modern energy system.
