Argentina Announces Entry into Force of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement with China

According to the Buenos Aires Economic Express, Argentina's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially announced the entry into force of the Argentina-China Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement. The ministry described the agreement as a strategic step toward deepening economic ties between the two countries.

Analysts believe the agreement will help eliminate double taxation on the same income or assets by both governments, optimize resource allocation, reduce tax barriers, and benefit businesses on both sides. This is expected to drive greater trade and investment cooperation between Argentina and China.

On Exports:

China, a major destination for Argentine agricultural exports, will see reduced tax costs for Argentine companies entering the Chinese market. This will enhance the competitiveness of products such as soybeans, beef, and wine.

On Investments:

The agreement will provide greater predictability for Chinese enterprises, facilitating investment and attracting Chinese capital to Argentina's infrastructure, renewable energy, and mining sectors. This is expected to foster deeper economic integration between Argentina and China.
